Before attending Law School Mr. Richmond spent approximately 15 years in the Navy. His distinguished military career began when he attended and graduated from Basic Training here in San Diego followed by about 4 years of enlisted service including several deployments overseas.

Subsequent to his enlisted service he was awarded a full scholarship to attend Oregon State University with the intention of returning to active duty as a Fully Commissioned Line Officer. After graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science he was immediately sworn in as a Commissioned Line Officer in the United States Navy.

Being able to easily master extremely difficult and complicated concepts and tasks he easily rose to the decorated rank of Lieutenant Commander before leaving the Navy with the purpose of attending Law School here in San Diego at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

While in Law School he was a member of the Mock Trial Team and spent several years clerking for the Public Defender’s Office where he researched, prepared, filed, argued a variety of motions and Jury Trials.

After graduating from Thomas Jefferson he immediately won his first Jury Trial, and first Bench Trial, while representing clients with a wide variety of issues including Child Dependency; general criminal defense; plaintiff’s actions; and Driving Under The Influence cases. However, since 2003 representation has been reserved for only those individuals arrested for DUI. (Over 1000 DUI cases successfully resolved)
